RON WYATT - A FALSE TEACHER

The below study is actually a transcript of my comments on question #24 in the Last Days Bible study Course we offer online. I am posting it here so as to have a permanent place of reference for those that need to prove Ron Wyatt is in fact a false teacher. A few people are beginning to be confused by his claims and strange doctrines regarding the ark of the covenant in the New Testament church. As a pastor in the SDR church it is my duty to not only warn the flock, but to give them the tools by which to warn others. I pray that what you fin here is a blessing to behold.

Now before reading the passage given in the study, I need to make a comment so as to clarify something that has been moving about in very small circles within and without the church for about 14 years now. It is time to strike it down as it may affect the faith of some of the faithful if confusion is allowed to have its say.

In recent weeks there has been some question regarding the sprinkling of the blood of Christ. Some think it had to be shed in the same place the biblical type, or lamb’s blood was shed in the earthly sanctuary. Men like Ron Wyatt have even declared this is so by claiming to have found the ark of the covenant, and even though he never physically produced the ark, nor did he even have a photo of it, some still believe what he said about the ark and Christ’s blood.

Wyatt claims that when Jesus died 2000 years ago that the water and the blood of our Lord trickled down the cross, went through a crack in the rock holding the cross up and then dripped directly onto the ark of the covenant that was supposedly hidden in a cave under Golgotha where Christ was then being crucified. Not only is there not a single Bible verse to back this claim in either the Old or New Testament that Christ’s blood needed to be sprinkled on the earthly copy of the ark of the covenant. The man Ron Wyatt died almost 14 years ago before he could prove he actually found the ark under that rock. Worse yet, the man was a Seventh Day Adventist in good standing at the time of both his discovery and death. Some do claim that Ron Wyatt spoke out against the SDA church a time or two, hoping this will lead some into thinking he is trustworthy and should be promoted as a man of God. But I know of no man or woman of God in Scripture that was blessed with revelations or even granted special dispensations while in bold and defiant disobedience to the Lord’s written command regarding coming out of Babylon. We have historic and prophetic evidence that the SDA church was at the time Ron Wyatt was alive and still is in apostasy to this day and is now a confirmed and well documented sister of fallen Babylon. Again, some have claimed Ron Wyatt spoke out against the SDA apostasy. I have yet to see such sermons, but still, even if he had, why is it he never left the church when Scripture clearly defined apostasy as the main fruit of Babylon and Revelation 18:1-5 says to come out of Babylon? In any event, I would like to read Hebrews 9:20-28 instead of just Hebrews 9:23 as the study calls for here.

Jesus is the minister of the true tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man. From what we gather in the Word we find that after Christ died on the cross as a sin offering for all of mankind, the ceremonial law could have no force. This is perfectly addressed and confirmed in Colossians 2:14-17. I won’t go into that here as I already do so on my “Law of God” page on the site.

Still, these ordinances were connected with the moral law, and they were wonderful to behold as we saw them fulfilled perfectly on Calvary. When Jesus died for us, the typical shadows of the ancient Jewish tabernacle no longer possessed any virtue at all. This is why we see the temple veil ripping in two directly after Jesus died. This means Ron Wyatt’s theory, and it is only a theory as there are no Scripture to confirm it, can’t possibly be true. What I mean is, after the sin offering was killed in the earthly tabernacle the blood was then sprinkled upon the veil or on the day of atonement and on the ark itself. Thing is, when Jesus died that veil tore in two confirming the earthly tabernacle was no longer necessary. The daily and yearly typical atonement when the earthly priest offered up the blood of the sacrifice for sins committed was no longer to be made after that point. That being the case, why would his blood need to trickle down a rock to splash upon it? Now some will say that His blood made it there before the veil was rent. But I have to say there is not a single Bible verse in the Old or New Testament that declares sin offerings were allowed to be alive when their blood was sprinkled. Absolutely every time a blood sacrifice was offered, the blood sprinkled was always that of the dead victim 100% of the time.

Still, the atoning sacrifice through a mediator is essential because of the constant commission of sin. If you have studied the sanctuary and its prophetic administrations you know that we are right now going through the day of atonement. That means, just as the earthly High Priest would offer up the blood of the sacrifice, Jesus is right now officiating in the presence of God as our High Priest, offering up His shed blood.

Just as the incense that wafted over the blood stained veil of old, our prayers today must be mingled with the cleansing drops of the blood of Christ. How is possible in this day of atonement when there is no earthly tabernacle? It is because it is done in the Heavenly!

When Jesus died upon the cross of Calvary, a new and living way was opened to everyone. This includes both the Jew and the Gentile. Jesus was from that day forward to officiate as priest and advocate in the heaven of heavens. How can His blood dripping on the earthly ark do all this? The earthly tabernacle was only a copy of what was truly happening on Calvary. How can the earthly be even considered after the veil was rent in two unless it is the world we seek to embrace? Are we not, the remnant of her seed taught to be seeking after the Heavenly city?

The earthly day of atonement had to be done annually and the sin offerings daily. If Ron Wyatt is correct that the blood of Christ spilled on the ark AFTER His death and AFTER the temple veil was torn, then that temple needs to be rebuilt so as to continue the sacrifices else mankind is doomed. But if the Word of God is correct, and we know it is, the offering of the blood of Christ is perfected in the Heavenly Sanctuary. In other words, the blood of lambs, oxen and doves offered for sins is now worthless. Hebrews 9:12-17 says, "Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?  And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth."

The Lamb of God had died for the sins of the world, and He is officiating on our behalf right now. When we sin and then confess and repent, He offers His blood that was shed for us as the atonement for that sin committed. Do we not understand that it is our privilege, if in obedience to the Lord to anticipate Jesus by faith standing between humanity and the eternal throne each and every day? If we are obedient to His Word He has promised to be our Advocate, presenting our prayers and offerings as spiritual sacrifices to God.

The priest on earth offered the blood of beasts upon the veil every day, and the ark once a year. As we know the tabernacle on earth was a mere copy of the eternal one in Heaven not made by human hands. Each day the blood of beasts was offered for the sins of the people. It pointed to the true and spotless sacrifice of Christ on that cross 2000 years ago. That being said, I must ask, why would we believe the literal blood of Jesus would have to be spilled upon the copy of the ark? How can type officiate for antitype? And how can the literal blood of Jesus be continually offered on that ark over the centuries for our sins when that ark is hidden, the temple veil torn, and the presence of the Lord completely removed from it? Would it not be far more powerful for His literal blood to be offered in the original tabernacle that Moses was told to make a copy of? Is this not what we just found written in Hebrews 9:20-28 which confirms is actually happening right now?

In other words, Ron Wyatt’s theology of the literal blood of Jesus Christ falling upon the figurative ark of the covenant is not only a lie; it sets the stage for Jew and Christian alike to see the need for a third temple. Is this not what we see most Sunday keepers preaching today? And is this not what we see the Jews actively hoping to bring to fruition as well? What those that promote Wyatt’s heresy fail to realize is, if the blood of Jesus Himself was needed to spill on that ark, it would also have to spill again for the atonement of mankind each and every year. And that heretical act takes away from what our High Priest, Lord and Saviour is doing right now in the Heavenly tabernacle for His obedient people.

To further confirm this as fact, Romans 8:34 says, "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."

Christ Jesus is repeatedly represented in Scripture as continually standing at the altar, momentarily offering up the sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. He is the minister of the true Heavenly tabernacle which the Lord pitched and not man, "Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet," -Acts 7:48

The daily and yearly typical atonement is no longer to be made, but the atoning sacrifice through a mediator is essential because of the constant commission of sin by man on earth each and every day. So how can His blood on the earthly ark do anything for the sins of man when the true sacrifice is already officiating in Heaven? Jesus is officiating in the presence of our God in New Jerusalem offering up His shed blood just as the high priests on earth offered up the lamb slain for thousands of years.

All the religious services, all the prayers, all the praise and even the penitent confession of sin ascend from true believers as incense to the heavenly sanctuary as we speak. But Wyatt’s theology declares it must still pass through the earthly temple wherein even the presence of the Lord left when Jesus died for us 2000 years ago. How can the blood of Jesus be offered as a sacrifice of sin as it was in the Old Testament times when the Shekinah glory for which it was offered has left the building? Unless the Intercessor Jesus our Lord who is at the right hand of the Father presents and purifies all by His righteousness, it simply cannot be acceptable to our God. Jesus now holds before the Father the censer of His own righteous merits, in which there is no taint of earthly corruption whatsoever. That being said, Ron Wyatt is found to be a false teacher.

FOR MY SDA FRIENDS:

For those that think Ron Wyatt actually found the ark and the two tables of stone within it. See this...

If you are one that preaches this now proven false thology, you echo the same self glorifying spirit of those unfortunate people that sought to destroy the Gospel message 2000 years ago in the Apostle John's day.

"But after a time the zeal of the believers began to wane, and their love for God and for one another grew less. Coldness crept into the church. Some forgot the wonderful manner in which they had received the truth. One by one the old standard-bearers fell at their post. Some of the younger workers, who might have shared the burdens of these pioneers, and thus have been prepared for wise leadership, had become weary of oft-repeated truths. In their desire for something novel and startling they attempted to introduce new phases of doctrine, more pleasing to many minds, but not in harmony with the fundamental principles of the gospel. In their self-confidence and spiritual blindness they failed to discern that these sophistries would cause many to question the experiences of the past, and would thus lead to confusion and unbelief.  {AA 580.1}

As these false doctrines were urged, differences sprang up, and the eyes of many were turned from beholding Jesus as the Author and Finisher of their faith. The discussion of unimportant points of doctrine, and the contemplation of pleasing fables of man's invention, occupied time that should have been spent in proclaiming the gospel. The masses that might have been convicted and converted by a faithful presentation of the truth were left unwarned. Piety was rapidly waning, and Satan seemed about to gain the ascendancy over those who claimed to be followers of Christ." {AA 580.2}

Those that preach Wyatt theology have already shown a spirit of false Wyatt worship that takes away from the true worship of Christ. The few that have followed them have now become confused as to what happened at the cross of Calvary 2000 years ago, just as Satan hoped. Those that worship and uplift Wyatt's proven heresy have allowed Satan to distract them from the task at hand so as to preach a message they feel will catapult them into the limelight so as to glorify self. Had they kept their eyes on Jesus Christ alone and sought to glorify Him instead of their own flesh, they "might have shared the burdens of these pioneers" that preach present truth today. They could have been used by the Lord in a mighty way. Now, they are only seen as those that need to repent of the sin of blasphemy.

 QUICK REBUTTAL:

Ron Wyatt claims the blood of Jesus must be spilled on the earthly ark at the moment of His death. But Hebrews 9:11-12 says, "But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us."

As we know, Christ Jesus was to offer His blood in the “greater” or “more perfect tabernacle” that was “not made with hands." Or as Paul also put it, “not of this building” that was already on earth, or under Golgotha as Ron Wyatt claimed. To place Ron Wyatt’s words before the written Word of God is to declare the Lord is not worthy of worship on this topic, but Ron Wyatt is. They echo Wyatt’s theology and claim the blood of Jesus must drip on the earthly ark for redemption of sin. But Hebrew 9:11-12 plainly says Ron Wyatt was either led astray by someone or he simply lied.

Also notice this. The passage plainly says the blood of Jesus was to be offered ONCE into the Holy Place to obtain our eternal redemption. The fact Hebrews 9:12 says this confirms those that preach the blood of Jesus needed to drip onto the man made ark of the covenant are being led astray by Satan. Because the Bible says it MUST be spilled in the "more perfect tabernacle" which was "not made with hands." But the key here is the word "ONCE." How can th eblood be spilled in the perfect tabernacle AND the imperfect one on earth? Using simple 1st grade mathmatics, 1+1 = 2. The Bible says it was only spilled ONCE, but Ron Wyatt and his followers say it must be spilled TWICE.

Those that follow after the theology of Ron Wyatt also claim the ark in Heaven needs no cleansing at all. They claim the blood of Jesus must be spilled on the earthly ark instead. But looking a little further into the Word we see it says…

It clearly says the heavenly ark needed to be cleansed as well. Reason being is, the record books of sin are in the city of New Jerusalem. Notice the prophetic facts on this...

The record of sin is in those books! The truth here is, Ron Wyatt is wrong. The basic reality as penned in Hebrews 9 is the fact that the heavenly ark cannot be cleansed by the blood of oxen or goats. In the heavenly sanctuary, Hebrews 9 says a “better sacrifice” is needed to do this cleansing. And that better sacrifice was the blood of Jesus.

A very sobering thought:

For those embracing the false theology of Ron Wyatt to say Jesus’ blood needs to spill on the ark “made with human hands” quite openly and literally degrade the precious blood of Jesus Christ right down to the level of oxen, goats and sheep. How awful is that? His blood is to be the "better" sacrifice that spills on the "greater" and "more perfect tabernacle." But you are declaring it must mingle with the blood of goats, oxen and sheep on a man made tabernacle? Can't you see what you are saying here? I implore you to repent of this blatant blasphemy and mockery of the Lord Jesus Christ. He shed His blood for you. The least you can do is show respect towards Him.

One more fact to ponder here is that this false theology sets up the people to believe there is a need for a third temple wherein the blood of oxen, goats and lambs should be spilled each and every day once again. This boldlynegates the death of Jesus on the cross. And that is exactly what Satan is going for here.

May God have mercy on the souls that trample the Word of God underfoot!

FINAL THOUGHT:

There are some who claim this Wyatt theology is new light, and because the leaders of the SDR church reject this as heresy, they have opted rather to attack the church to try and make themselves appear godly. And yes, this was prophesied and we are given instruction in the Word on how to handle such as these.

1 Timothy 6:3-5, "If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;  He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,  Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself."

It also says in Spirit of Prophecy...

Those Who Pronounce Judgment on the Church
When anyone is drawing apart from the organized body of God’s commandmentkeeping people, when he begins to weigh the church in his human scales and begins to pronounce judgment against them, then you may know that God is not leading him. He is on the wrong track." --Selected Messages vol. 3. page 18:5
